Prof. Mario Serradilla-Martín, MD, FACS

Dr. Serradilla-Martín is a Senior Consultant based at the Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery Division within the Miguel Servet University Hospital in Zaragoza. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Salamanca, Spain, and subsequently completed his residency in General and Digestive Surgery at Virgen de las Nieves University Hospital, Granada, Spain.
Prior to his current post, Dr. Serradilla-Martín completed his training in liver transplantation at Mount Sinai Hospital (Prof. Del Río), New York and in advanced laparoscopic surgery at Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg (Prof. Azagra).
His areas of specialist interest include HPB surgery, liver transplant and laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Serradilla-Martín has presented numerous congress papers, authored and co-authored several books, and is widely published in his field. He was recently named Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
He is a member of a number of Spanish and international professional societies, including the European-African Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association, the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association, and the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders.
